Motorcycles Take Center Stage in Dubuque, IA

The late February event called Hogs Gone Wild served as sort of kick-off party for the upcoming bike season and a showcase for Dubuque. The Sons of Anarchy performed as did Willy Parsons, biker comedian. There was a Harley fashion show and members of the HD race team were even on hand to tell stories and sign autographs. A special treat for women, motorcyclist or not, was a shifting and braking training session on a new Harley strapped to a dyno; a “riding in place” experience. “We’re grateful to the National Motorcycle Museum for bringing some great antique motorcycles to Hogs Gone Wild. 2013 was our first year for this signature event and we promise to make it even more fun next year,” said Tyler Daugherty, Sports and Events Manager at Dubuque Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. If you plan to attend next year here’s a link to event information; http://traveldubuque.com. Then don’t forget to ride on down to the National Motorcycle Museum, about 50 miles southwest on U.S. 151.
