sidecar-rally
Stop by the National Motorcycle Museum Saturday, September 10, 2016 and check out the wide variety of sidecar rigs ridden in for this one-day event, the 13th Annual East Central Iowa Sidecar Rally. Parked on the Museum’s lawn you can see the outdoor Sidecar Rally show for free. Ride in on your solo bike, trike, sidecar, even your car; everyone is welcome. Make a weekend of it: Attend the Anamosa Hillclimb on Sunday, September 11.
Or if you ride in on a sidecar, you can enter the Rally for just $5*. That entry fee also gets you a chance for a door prize and makes you eligible for the Peoples Choice show judging. Awards include Overall Peoples Choice, Best Vintage Sidecar Rig, Most Unique Sidecar Rig, Greatest Distance Traveled, Oldest and Youngest Rider awards and the Hard Luck award.
National Motorcycle Museum President, John Parham offers, “We welcome all sidecar riders to the Museum grounds for this special outdoor show. Sidecars are an interesting vehicle, and require special riding skills. Sidecars remain uncommon out on the road so events like this Rally bring enthusiasts together, let them discuss their rigs, swap stories and learn what’s new. It’s a rolling classroom of sorts, with more rigs on display inside the Museum plus two special exhibit featuring choppers and land speed record bikes. We’re happy to host the East Central Iowa Sidecar Rally at the Museum and welcome anyone with a sidecar rig to participate.”
